Rav Aharon Perlow of Koydinov zt"l
A SCION OF THE LECHOVITCH DYNASTY
Rav Aharon was appointed rebbe in תרל"א at the age of thirty-two. He was a gadol b’Torah and a highly organized individual. As the leader of the chassidus, he brought Koidanow to its peak in terms of spirituality and numbers of chassidim (he had thousands of adherents). He headed the Koidanover Kollel in Eretz Yisroel, and earlier (in his father’s lifetime) he supported the yishuv in Teveria.
One of his letters was printed in Ateres Sholom by Rav Sholom Chaim of Brahin-Warsaw, a Koidanover scion. His Torah was collected and published as Dover Sholom by Rav Sholom Eliyahu Shtam in Pieterkov, תרס"ו, and also in Zecher Tzaddik by the same publisher in Vilna, תרס"ה. His divrei Torah were also published by Moshe Bentzion of Bobrowna in the sefer, Mefaneach Ne’elamos Lublin, תרנ"ו and in Rav Moshe Chagiz’s Sefas Emes Vilna, תרל"ו edition.
Eventually, all of the above were combined into one anthology named Siach Avos which was printed in Tel Aviv, תשכ"ג by Rav Michael Ehrlich. A teshuvah titled, M’Ahavah was also printed in the sefer, Erez Levanon by Rav Yitzchok ben Rav Moshe Perlow.
Rav Aharon published the Ramank’s sefer, Ohr N’erav along with his own additions named Nireh Ohr. He wrote an introduction to the Koidanover Siddur and his customs are recorded in the introduction to Siddurim Eight.
His sons were: Rav Yosef of Koidanov, Rav Shlomo Chaim, and Rav Nechemia of Baronwoitz.
His daughter married Rav Mushelem Zalman Yosef Zilberprov, Av Beis Din, Toporow.
He passed away on the 26th of Elul, תרנ"ז (1897).
